Solve for Tomorrow Contest
Samsung and its partners are inviting teachers to participate in the annual Solve for Tomorrow contest to promote STEM education. They have doubled the total prize value to more than $2 million in products, software, and programming from Samsung and program partners DirecTV and Adobe. To enter, teachers fill out a short application, describing how they would apply the program to their classrooms.

Innovative App Challenge
Verizon has launched its Innovative App Challenge, a competition that asks students to develop a concept for a STEM-related app that solves real-world problems in their community or school. Winning teams can secure up to $20,000 in grants for their school, earn free Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 tablets, and get help from the MIT Media Lab’s App Inventor Training Corps to develop their concepts.
Deadline: December 3, 2013.

WiFi My School Contest
NETGEAR’s WiFi My School asks parents, students, and faculty to show their school spirit and win a brand new wireless network for their K-12 school. Anyone over the age of 13 can submit a 300-word essay describing the reasons their school would benefit from WiFi. The best entry will win 50 NETGEAR access points, one storage device, and a wireless controller enabling a school-wide WiFi network. Four runner-up contestants will win a variety of networking prizes.
