Compass Learning’s content for K-12 students can now be more easily accessed by multiple learning management systems (LMS) after the company achieved IMS Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI) compliance. For Compass Learning customers, this means CompassLearning Odyssey® content is now one step closer to being LMS agnostic and can more easily be accessed through IMS-compliant LMS, such as Moodle, Blackboard and Sakai.
“Schools and school districts don’t have to be locked into proprietary digital content delivery systems,” said Eric Loeffel, chief executive officer of Compass Learning. "They can now more easily select the best content from multiple LTI-compliant providers – and add their own locally developed content – to best meet the needs of their students. The IMS is a global learning community of leaders in education, including software and hardware vendors, educational institutions, publishers and government agencies.
