Companies Partner to provide UDL Professional Development to Philadelphia Schools
Sublime Learning, Inc announces its partnership with the Visual Leap and the release of “SublimeDesign”, a blended Professional Learning approach to UDL and technology integration.
Through this partnership, 1500 School District of Philadelphia Special Education teachers are receiving subscriptions to Sublime Learning eTeachables and extensive training, follow up and support provided by The Visual Leap.
The Visual Leap is a visual learning company located in Philadelphia and led by Jesse Berg, MSIT, MEd that uses visual, technology-rich strategies to improve teacher effectiveness and student learning. Berg, creator of “The Visual Leap Program in Visual Thinking” works with school districts to create research-based, professional learning solutions rooted in effective technology integration, cognitive learning theories and Universal Design for Learning.
“SublimeDesign supports teachers in an effective and efficient way. This is by far the most satisfying professional learning solution I have been a part of,” said Berg.
The Visual Leap provides teachers with face-to-face training and follow-up -- ongoing support that's needed for teachers to adopt the teaching strategies and resources embedded in the Sublime Learning portal. The online portal provides just-in-time learning that lets teachers search, find and use the specific resources that they need when they need them.
Sublime Learning and The Visual Leap are overjoyed with the successes being realized in Philadelphia Schools following the rollout of SublimeDesign. Sublime Learning CEO Jonathan Mann comments on the success of the partnership, “We are thrilled to have found such a complimentary partner in The Visual Leap. Our products and their services are a perfect fit.”
