Celebrate Seuss’s birthday with Read Around the Planet virtual event
published
Read Around the Planet is an education program where children in classrooms around the world learn over video conferencing. The event commemorates Dr. Seuss’ birthday on March 2. This year, Read Around the Planet will link 50,000 kids in 1700 schools in the United States, Canada, Costa Rica and the United Kingdom. Teachers and students prepare presentations related to their book of choice to share with their assigned partner class over two-way, interactive video conferencing equipment. The event inspires a love of reading in children and bridges the cultural gap between classrooms from different parts of the world.
