PetersenDean, a privately held roofing and solar contractor, announces the completion of a new 10 kW solar system at Hirsch Elementary School.
This donation marks the first solar system to be installed in the Fremont Unified School District and consists of 150 panels, generating 31.5 kW of electricity. The new solar system is projected to save the school $12,000 over the next year in energy costs which will help fund programs and supplies for students.
“We are honored to donate this solar system to Hirsch Elementary; we feel it is important for companies to support their local educational institutions,” says Jim Petersen, CEO and Founder of PetersenDean Roofing and Solar Systems.
