CA District Adopts Web-Based SIS
Manhattan Beach Unified School District has selected PowerSchool as its new web-based student information system (SIS). PowerSchool will now serve over 7,000 students in Manhattan Beach Unified School District, which is located southwest of Los Angeles.
"We chose PowerSchool because it can deliver real-time, targeted student data to our educators, parents, and students. PowerSchool integrates with other applications in our district and provide all users - from district administrators to students - with an easy-to-use, informative, and reliable experience,” said Rick Bagley, deputy superintendent.
PowerSchool offers a new user interface, multiple foreign language options, and mobile capabilities including student, parent and teacher apps.
Manhattan Beach Unified School District expects to complete the implementation of PowerSchool for all of its schools by August 2013.
