ISTE NEWS: Achieve3000 Introduces Original Differentiated Fiction Collection
Studies show that reading fiction is an effective method of improving vocabulary and language skills while boosting emotional intelligence and social skills.
Achieve3000® today released details about its forthcoming collection of original, differentiated fiction. Designed for K-8 students, each fictional story is differentiated and contains five to seven engaging “episodes.”
There are three fiction collections in total, tailored to grades K-2, 3-5 and 6-8. Each reading passage is accompanied by an embedded assessment to help build the skills necessary to succeed on state exams and has a Spanish translation option. Teacher support materials include recommended active learning experiences to teach the fundamentals of fiction, and vocabulary-building activities.
Colorful illustrations and other text features accompany each story to engage students and boost reading comprehension. Each week’s episode ends with a cliffhanger as a way to entice students to come back the following week to read the next episode.
The fiction collection will be rolled out to Achieve3000 customers this fall. Learn more at https://ww2.achieve3000.com/differentiatedfiction or visit Achieve3000 at ISTE booth 2207.
