BACK OFFICE BUSINESS: Indiana Department of Ed Approves i-Ready Diagnostic as a Norm-Referenced Assessment
Because i-Ready has been approved for use across the state as a norm-referenced assessment for K–8 reading and mathematics, districts can use the award-winning program for this school year.
Because i-Ready has been approved for use across the state as a norm-referenced assessment for K–8 reading and mathematics, districts can use the award-winning program for this school year. By adapting to student responses and assessing a broad range of skills—including skills above and below a student’s chronological grade level—the i-Ready online diagnostic and instructional program supports learning for more than six million students nationwide.
“Our school has seen tremendous results by using the diagnostic tool i-Ready provides,” says Darren Haas, principal of Southeast Fountain Elementary School in Veedersburg, Indiana. “Keeping a close eye on where the students are at the beginning, middle, and end of the year, along with Standards Mastery periodically in between, has been great! Our teachers are able to meet every student right where they are with no guessing about what each student actually understands.”
