It’s time for another unfortunate update on people using technology badly. Plum School Board (PA) is insisting on new social media policies limiting teacher/student interactions after enduring three incidents of inappropriate online relationships in 2015. Several districts in Ohio this week have been threatened via social media. Administrators there at least found a way not to interrupt classes. Educators at Sonoraville High School in Georgia are taking a proactive approach with the Pause Before You Post campaign, which is designed to remind students to make smart decisions about sharing comments, photos and videos. Remember, there is no app for common sense. —Kevin Hogan, Content Director
