published

littleBits has added a new kit to its offerings, intended for school-aged children with no working knowledge of circuitry or anything STEM.
Designed by a team that has worked with LEGO, MIT Media Lab, Georgia Tech and the Rhode Island School of Design, the new Gizmos & Gadgets kit allows for an easy entry into invention and design thinking with a cold start.
The kit can yield over 12 inventions and is made up of 15 electronic parts, a baseboard, a 9-volt battery, a project booklet and access to the littleBits app, which lets kids incorporate their smartphones.
Retailing for $199, the kit can be purchased on the littleBits site, Amazon, Barnes & Noble and Brookstone, among other sellers.
