Touchjet Pond Projector Launched at ISTE 2015
Today, at the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) Conference, Touchjet announced the Touchjet Pond™ Projector for collaboration and cooperative learning.
The Touchjet Pond Projector turns any wall or table surface into an 80-inch interactive touchscreen where students and teachers can display and interact with Android educational apps.
Teachers in the Austin Independent School District are using the device for various activities to promote interactive learning:
- Group reading lessons from various reading apps
- Integrated coding sessions using code.org and teachers’ coding programs
- Partner research on animal identification and classifications
- Early literacy stations for sound and letter recognition
The Touchjet Pond Projector is ultra-portable and can fits in a briefcase, backpack or purse. With the projector, teachers and students can interact directly with photos, videos, games, apps and presentations on a large touch display anywhere they go. Built on the Android 4.4 operating system, it gives users access to hundreds of thousands of apps that can be downloaded directly to the device via Google Play.
