New Contest Asks Students: What Does it Mean to be Human?
If you take any two students, you’ll likely get very different responses to the question, “What does it mean to be human?” The Big History Project, in collaboration with Bill Gates and John Green, is looking for unique answers to that very question through a video contest that launched this morning. The contest encourages students to bring what they’ve learned over the past school year to life through song, dance, imagery or whatever moves them.
The 2nd and 3rd place finishers get $1,000, and 1st place takes home $5,000 and an official contract to make 3 more videos that will be incorporated into the Big History Project. The winning video will also be played on the Main Stage at VidCon.
