Today's Newsletter: Move on to the next question!

The more things change, the more they stay the same. This insipid headline—“Does Technology Belong in Classroom Instruction?”— appeared this week in the Wall Street Journal. Thank goodness our stalwart Tech&Learning advisor Lisa Nielsen was able to bring some sanity to the piece: “There’s more deep thought happening here than there is without technology. It’s faster-paced, but that’s the world these students are preparing for. Which way would you prefer your child to learn?” Lisa is much more polite than I am. Asking whether of not technology belongs in a school is akin to questioning whether or not a school should have electricity and running water. The better question to ask: What are the best ways to use it? Enough already! —Kevin Hogan, Content Director
