America’s Top Student Scientists to be featured at White House Science Fair
Sahil Doshi, winner of the 2014 Discovery Education 3M Young Scientist Challenge, and Ruchi Pandya, a national finalist in the 15th annual Siemens Competition in Math, Science & Technology, have been invited to serve as honored guests at the 2015 White House Science Fair on Mon, March 23, an annual celebration of the student winners of a broad range of STEM competitions from across the country. Sahil and Ruchi will hear remarks from the President, and interact with other students, professional scientists, high-level senior government officials, private sector representatives, and others.
A ninth grader from Upper St. Clair School District’s Upper St. Clair High School in Pittsburgh, Sahil won the 2014 Discovery Education 3M Young Scientist Challenge for his innovative, eco-friendly battery design.
Ruchi, a senior at Lynbrook High School in San Jose, California, created a cost-effective, efficient and reliable diagnostic tool for detecting the presence of increased concentrations of proteins in the bloodstream of a cardiac arrest patient.
