SIIA Launches 2015 Vision K-20 Survey
The Education Technology Industry Network (ETIN) of the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) announces the launch of its seventh annual Vision K-20 Survey. The Vision K-20 Survey gives educators, administrators and faculty members from K-12 and postsecondary educational institutions the opportunity to evaluate their current technology use and compare it to prior results in a short online survey.
The 2014 survey asked key questions about the educational use of mobile devices in the classroom and educational institutions’ readiness for online, summative assessments. Both K-12 and postsecondary respondents reported an increasing usage of mobile devices and the use of mobile devices primarily for students to access or research digital content online. Almost 60 percent of K-12 respondents reported that they did not feel “highly prepared” with adequate bandwidth or with adequate devices and hardware for online assessments.
