Computer Programmming Challenge Opens
Aldebaran Robotics is leveraging its humanoid robot NAO to launch the NAO Challenge, a competition in computer programming for high school students across the U.S.
Working in teams of 2-5 students, with a teacher mentor, students compete in 4 different contests as explained on the NAO Challenge website. A complete list of entry details and competition guidelines can also be found there.
During the months leading to the finals, the NAO Challenge Team will host different workshops to train teachers and let student teams test their applications on an actual robot. Finals will take place in Longmont, Colorado in June 2015, during which a local jury of professors and partners will decide the winner of each category. Many prizes are available to win, including a NAO as the grand prize.
