Tech vs. the Nor'easter
By Kevin Hogan
published As the Northeast braces for a blizzard (and my school-free kids try to convince me on the educational merits of Minecraft), the Tech & Learning newsfeed fills with stories of snow day studies. This piece from Fox news seems to lament the idea that kids have access to work remotely. This post to Dogonews, a website written for kids, does a great job of detailing district plans in Minnesota and Pennsylvania to run virtual class on days to dangerous to drive. And this story from Ashland, KY breaks down the reality of making it happen. Come to think of it, I can make the kids write up some Minecraft in education reviews for a win/win! —Kevin Hogan, Content Director
