Knowledge Delivery Systems, Inc. (KDS) and Insight Education Group have developed an online course that helps teachers understand and implement new practices that aim to improve students’ achievement of College-and Career-Readiness Standards (CCRS).
Launching this month, “Shifting Instruction with the Five Core Practices” is based on the Insight Core Framework and the research-tested strategies to promote deeper thinking and reasoning called for in the CCRS.
Through interviews with Insight experts, videos of teachers modeling the Core Practices in authentic classrooms and interactive exercises, educators will identify the areas of their practice that are strong, and those areas that need to be further developed. By the end of this course, teachers will have designed lesson plans that incorporate each of the five high-impact Core Practices directly into their daily classroom practices.
Teachers also have the option of taking the course for CEU and graduate professional development credit.
