New Mexico Approves Triumph Learning’s Coach for High School Instruction
The New Mexico Public Education Department has approved Common Core Coach for high school instruction in American literature, world literature and composition throughout the state. Developed by Triumph Learning, producer of K-12 texts and interactive digital tools, these Common Core Coach titles have been approved for use for up to six years within all public high schools in New Mexico.
Beginning Jan. 1, 2015 districts in New Mexico can implement the learning program in three courses for supplemental instruction and assessment. Common Core Coach American Literature I and II and Common Core Coach World Literature I and II provide national and international topics with an emphasis on nonfiction texts and historical documents. To help students understand the research and writing process, teachers across the state can also incorporate Common Core Coach Composition I and II into their lessons. The series offers lessons on specific writing types using writing prompts and hints.
