Acer today announced two new tablets, the Iconia Tab 8 W and the Iconia Tab 10.
The Acer Iconia Tab 8 W is an 8-inch tablet running on the newest Windows 8.1. The Iconia Tab 8 W comes with a one-year complementary Microsoft Office 365 Personal, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote and Outlook. Features include:
- Slim profile (9.75 millimeters/.38 inches) and light weight (370 grams/.8 pounds)
- Up to 8 hours of battery life.
- 1280x800 HD display with IPS technology
- Intel® AtomTM Z3735G quad-core processor
- Micro USB port that supports charging on the go
- dual stereo speakers and dual cameras
- full-size keyboard ; optional lightweight Acer Crunch Keyboard
The Iconia Tab 10 offers two built-in speakers and while Dolby® Digital Plus surround-sound. Features include:
- 10.1-inch FHD
- anti-fingerprint coating technology
- Zero Air Gap and IPS technology
- Corning® Gorilla® Glass
- micro HDMI port and Wireless Display capability
- Android 4.4 (KitKat) and MediaTek quad- core processor
In Pan America, the Iconia Tab 8 W will be available in November at a starting price of US$149.99; the Iconia Tab 10 will be available in September at a starting price of US$199.
