AT&T, Udacity Launch "Nanodegree" Online Training Program
A new kind of online training program designed by business aims to prepare thousands of workers and job-seekers for high-demand jobs in the tech industry.
AT&T and Udacity will launch the first nanodegree program this fall in the Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) format. The first courses will focus on design of Website user interfaces and iOS applications.
The nanodegree will be fully recognized for entry-level software jobs at AT&T.
The nanodegreesare designed for completion in less than 12 months and available anywhere there’s a broadband connection. The cost will be approximately $200 per month.
To encourage diverse student participation, AT&T and Udacity will provide full scholarships through qualified non-profit organizations, including Genesys Works and Year Up.
