3D instruction gaining ground
Ocoee Middle School is using content displayed in 3D to teach students everything from difficult math concepts (like the volume of complex shapes) to biology (like the complexities of the human eardrum) to astronomy (imagine learning about the rings of Saturn as meteors seemingly fly past your face).
Ocoee is one of 7 schools across the US (in addition to schools worldwide including the UK, Turkey, India, China and France) teaching in 3D and seeing results. Teachers are sharing that students are more engaged, focused and interested in the content, leading to better information retention and faster understanding of abstract concepts. Case studies and videos on those efforts are available here.
