During Teacher Appreciation Week (May 5-9), Discovery Education is honoring teachers in a variety of ways:
- Teachers will receive giveaways via social media, along with appreciation messages tagged #DENlove. STAR Discovery Educators will receive daily gifts of technology, such as Narrable, Been, Tech4Learning, and WeVideo.
- Discovery Education will also provide classroom events and activities, including 30 Minutes of Discovery on May 9, a day-long event that will feature author and illustrator Peter Reynolds and others, as they provide virtual, live lessons every hour, from 9:00am – 2:00pm, ET. Lessons will involve a variety of activities including math puzzles, interactive storytelling, and fun and safe experiments to try at home.
- The DEN blogs will share articles from ASCD’s flagship publication, Education Leadership. Topics covered include blended instruction, new literacies and the common core, and computerized tests.
