Cannon T4 Inc has announced a new range of smart power management solutions which aim to boost the efficiency of data centers while providing monitoring and control of Power Distribution Units (PDUs). Up to 16 PDUs can be chained together making it possible to monitor and control hundreds of individual sockets using one web-based graphical management interface.
Each PDU features a 1.8 inch colour LCD display offering information for the strip, such as the current, voltage, power, energy consumption (kWh), power factor, as well as humidity and temperature. The system allows multiple PDUs to be monitored and controlled remotely via a single IP address over an Ethernet network.
Up to 16 PDUs can be chained together with Cat6 patch cables, all sharing the IP address and the graphical user interface.
