A new activity pack designed for use with the LEGO® MINDSTORMS® Education EV3 Core Set and Software offers 30+ hours of lessons, learning and challenge mats, and a large LEGO brick set for building challenge mission models. Activities include:

- Challenge missions
- Research projects
The pack introduces students to robotics with the theme of traveling to and living on Mars. Students tackle a set of lessons, challenges, and projects that fully integrate STEM concepts, while also promoting problem solving, communication and teamwork. LEGO Education worked in conjunction with NASA engineers to develop activities that challenge students to explore and plan and develop how to ensure humans can survive in space, how humans can create energy in space, and how robots can help humans explore space.
