Much like the conversations at Tech&Learning’s New York Tech Forum last Friday, the newsfeed is more and more crowded with stories on big data. Looks like Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg is taking an interest with a $4 million in funding for startup Panorama Education, which wants to” help school districts gather the requisite data they needed to improve education.” Not everyone is so enthused. This Politifact Florida article is a good example. Other grassroots parent opt-out movements are also making some noise.
