Blackboard redesigns mobile learning app
Blackboard Inc. today announced a redesigned mobile learning app following analysis of how students are using mobile devices for education. The update to the mobile version of Blackboard Learn™, the company’s flagship learning management system (LMS), focuses on simplifying content consumption.
The app’s new user interface allows for easier consumption, navigation, prioritization and customization of content. Students can assign color labels to courses and content, helping to identify course materials, and rename, reorder and hide courses from view.
The company also announced a number of other improvements to Blackboard Learn including an improved design and workflow for Inline Assignment Grading and Test IP Address Filtering that would require students to be in a specified physical location, such as a proctored computer lab, in order to take a test within the platform.
