In conjunction with iKeepSafe, a non-profit dedicated to helping children and families thrive in our connected culture, Verizon Wireless is launching “BEaPRO™ Digital Literacy for Families” – a program providing free workshops to help K-12 schools teach parents and students skills for safe and responsible use of digitally-connected devices.
iKeepSafe trains educators from the participating school, who will then deliver a one-hour workshop that covers: balance, ethics, privacy, reputation & relationship, online safety (B.E. a P.R.O ) with regards to digital devices. Participating schools also receive presentation materials, videos, handouts and giveaways for attendees, as well as pizza and beverages, at no cost to them.
