SMART Technologies Inc. announces the release of new display products designed to provide collaborative learning experiences for students. The new products include the SMART Board E70 interactive flat panel, the SMART Board M600 series of interactive whiteboards and the SMART UX80 ultra-short-throw projector. All SMART Board interactive displays include the latest version of SMART Notebook™ collaborative learning software, and give educators access to the SMART Exchange™ online education community where over one million educators connect, share and download digital resources.
Designed for educators, the SMART Board E70 interactive flat panel offers a high-definition, shadow-free 70” (177.8 cm) LED display featuring low-friction coated glass, facilitating a natural touch experience. The multitouch SMART Board E70 features freestyle multiuser interaction anywhere on the display.
The SMART Board M600 series of interactive whiteboards enables two students to collaborate anywhere on the interactive whiteboard using their fingers, pens or other objects. Students can interact with the display using touch gestures, such as pinching, zooming and tossing. The new series includes the SMART Board M685 with an 87” (221 cm) display and widescreen 16:10 aspect ratio and the SMART Board M680, featuring a 77” (195.6 cm) display with a standard 4:3 aspect ratio. The new SMART UX80 ultra-short-throw projector is 3D and HD-ready, offers two HDMI inputs, an integrated speaker, and provides teachers with the ability to control two displays simultaneously. The new projector provides 3,300 lumens for classrooms with high ambient lighting, and an ultra-short throw distance. The UX80 is available as a stand-alone digital projector or may be integrated into the widescreen SMART Board 885ix2 interactive whiteboard system or SMART Board 685ix2 interactive whiteboard system.
Availability
The SMART Board E70 interactive flat panel will be available in Q3 2013. The SMART Board M600 series of interactive whiteboards will be available to order on July 15, 2013 and begin shipping globally on October 1, 2013. The UX80 projector is currently available as part of the SMART Board 885ix2 interactive whiteboard system, or as part of the SMART Board 685ix2 interactive whiteboard system. A spare or replacement projector is available, or as part of a retrofit kit for customers with an existing SMART Board 885 or SMART Board 685 interactive whiteboard.
