Six U.S. students to compete for Microsoft Office Specialist World Champion title

Certiport (www.certiport.com), a Pearson VUE business today announced the 2013 Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) U.S. National Champions. The winners were named at the U.S. National Championship in Park City, Utah and will travel to Washington, D.C. to compete in the Microsoft Office Specialist Worldwide Championship from July 31 – August 3, 2013.
- Microsoft Excel® 2010: Nina Joseph, Green Hope High School, Cary, NC
- Microsoft Excel® 2007: Noah Heffron, Rogers Heritage High School, Rogers, AR
- Microsoft PowerPoint® 2010: Jake Ruiz, Fayette County High School, Fayetteville, GA
- Microsoft PowerPoint® 2007: Cory Bolles, Braden River High School, Bradenton, FL
- Microsoft Word® 2010: Alex Bainbridge, Green Hope High School, Cary, NC
- Microsoft Word® 2007: Emily Peet, Queen Anne’s County High School, Centreville, MD
At the U.S. National Championship 28 finalists participated in timed exams and interviews to demonstrate their expertise in Microsoft Office programs. The winners have won an all-expense paid trip to Washington, D.C. along with a chaperone.
