Content controls added to Android tablet management system
TabPilot Tablet Manager classroom tablet management system for Android tablets, has added new content distribution features that allow teachers to push eBooks and PDF files to students for off-line reading. In addition, teachers can lock down groups of tablets by designating specific apps as accessible to students during class, enabling or disabling them as needed.
TabPilot 2.0 brings several other new feature:
*Custom wallpaper backgrounds
*“My Device” feature to allow teachers to register their own devices as sources for apps to be distributed to student devices
*Custom permissions settings for administrators to enable or disable teacher functions
TabPilot runs on a variety of Android-based tablets, including a low-cost TabPilot-branded device and most third-party tablets. The company offers loaner devices to school technology departments to use for evaluation purposes.
