Series aims to help districts understand the “New Digital Parent”
To help K-12 districts communicate better with their K-12 communities,Schoolwires and Project Tomorrow are delivering a series of online events and articles on the topic of the “new digital parent.”
The series will feature Project Tomorrow CEO Julie Evans, who will discuss research from the organization’s 2012 Speak Up surveys. Also presenting at each event will be K-12 educators who will provide real-world examples and best practices to engage digital parents.
The first event in the series, “Meet the new digital parent,” is scheduled for April 23. Three additional sessions will follow on May 7, May 21 and June 11, where participants can explore ways to improve school-to-home communications, involve parents in digital learning and find out what digital parents envision for 21st century learning. Participants can register now for one or more events, or the entire series.
