Literacy and intervention readers now available for iPad, Kindle and Nook
EPS, a division of School Specialty, Inc., today announced that S.P.I.R.E.®Decodable eBooks, which includes 120 titles, are now available for download from Amazon.com, BarnesandNoble.com, and the iTunes store. These eBooks support instruction in the S.P.I.R.E. (Specialized Program Individualizing Reading Excellence) program and can also be used with other phonics based programs or independently to support beginning or struggling readers. EPS is offering two review copies to qualified individuals who will post reviews.
S.P.I.R.E. 3rd Edition is a reading intervention program that integrates phonological awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, spelling and comprehension in a 10-Step Lesson plan especially designed for struggling readers. Based on the Orton-Gillingham approach, S.P.I.R.E. incorporates the most recent research regarding best practices in reading and language arts instruction. The program incorporates many opportunities for practice, ensuring students experience continuous and visible success.
