Keyless security for schools
published
Many educational facilities still have mechanical locks on the doors and entry ways, with an access control system for only its most critical doors. Replacing the mechanical locks with advanced electronic locks can provide increased security with minimal disruption to the facility itself.
Aperio is a wireless solution that eliminates the use of keys and allows entry only to authorized persons with proper credentials.
New features include:
- Office mode: a user with double card override permission can place the Aperio cylinder/escutcheon into free mode
- Door scheduling: On presentation of a card, the door can switch to free mode and then, after the scheduled opening time, revert to secure mode
- Intrusion alarm: certain versions of Aperio hardware allow for the door status to be monitored
- Door open too long alarm
