Classroom audio and integrated solutions provider FRONTROW has launched a new contest in which schools can try JUNO®, create a lesson capture video, and enter it to win prizes for their classroom. The How do you Juno? Contest gives K-20 educators the opportunity to use Juno free until June 1, 2013.
Juno is a new digital communication platform that comprises a one-touch teacher microphone, an installation-free digital line array speaker tower that’s expandable with up to six additional speakers, desktop software, and up to four simultaneous student microphones.
Because Juno captures both audio in the classroom, video from the computer screen, and an integrated webcam, FrontRow is looking for video submissions that demonstrate how Juno is able to capture a useful, instructional, and easy-to-follow lesson that took place in the classroom, with a short testimonial about how lesson capture fits into the larger pedagogical strategy of the school or district.
Through May 7, people will be able to watch the videos on FrontRow’s site and rate them.
There will be three grand prize winners and five runner-up prizes of the How do you Juno? Contest - totaling over $17,000 in prizes. The grand prize is a complete FrontRow Juno system and FrontRow desktop software with five microphones (one teacher microphone and four student microphones), and two drop-in chargers. The runner-ups will be awarded a Juno system with the desktop software that includes the teacher microphone, student microphone and drop-in charger.
Applicants can request a Juno system to participate in the contest from February 1 through April 15, 2013. All videos must be submitted by May 1, 2013 and the winner will be announced on May 15, 2013.
