Ascend Education announced today the launch of the Reckless Pursuit Math-Ventures Interactive Blog and Contest for Classrooms.
Reckless Pursuit is a free interactive blog contest created for classrooms. Fictional math-venturer “Reckless” Rick Carter is lost. Classrooms are invited to read Rick’s weekly journal entries and use the clues to guess where he is. In each blog entry Rick will be faced with a math challenge he is unable to solve on his own. Students work together to come up with the answer while using the clues in the blog to find Rick. Each math problem includes free help in the form of online Ascend Math video tutorials and virtual manipulatives.
