Shmoop announces the release of several new Learning Guides for young adult literature. The free online resource features books that have inspired movies, such as Charlie and the Chocolate Factor and Coraline, and those that are told from the point-of-view of a kid, including Walk Two Moons and When You Reach Me. Shmoop also showcases the darker side of young adult literature, with titles such as Thirteen Reasons Why and I Am the Cheese, which tackle the topics of teen suicide and mental illness. Shmoop is also celebrating the 50th anniversary of the beloved young adult classic, The Phantom Tollbooth.
