Samsung Techwin America’s Electronic Imaging Division (www.samsungpresenterusa.com) today announced the Samsung K-12 ‘Return on Intelligence’ Gift Programs.
Grant Program:
Teachers can enter to win one of 50 SAMCAM 860 document cameras for use in their school by writing 100 words or less on how the SAMCAM 860, with superior low-light capability, will be used in their classroom. The grant program will provide the document cameras to worthy schools based on need and utilization. The deadline for submissions is May 1, 2012. www.samsunggrants.com.
Scholarship Program:
Ten high school students have the opportunity to each earn $1,000 scholarships by writing up to a 300 word essay answering the question ‘How will technology enable the collaboration process in the future?’ The deadline for submissions is May 31, 2012. www.samsungscholarship.com.
Superhero Program:
There are three Superhero Program competitions for the year (Winter, Spring, Fall) and each student who wins gets $500 and their class receives a SAMCAM 860 document camera. Students prepare a 1-3 minute digital video portraying their favorite historical character.
