Augmented reality reading curriculum launched
Logical Choice Technologies today announces the release of Letters alive, a supplemental reading curriculum that uses augmented reality (AR) to bring 26 animals to life to teach children to read at the pre-k and kindergarten level.
The curriculum aligns with Common Core State Standards to assist students with mastering phonemic awareness, phonics, concepts of print, and comprehension.
Augmented reality refers to technologies that add layers of video, images, text, and audio on top of images captured through a digital video camera and is delivered using specially coded cards that work with a document camera, audio system, and projector. The AR technology creates an interactive learning environment that allows the animals to move and make sounds answer questions formed by students, make comments and respond to student actions.
