Back to school just got a whole lot cooler for students and teachers at five schools across the country, thanks to the ultimate in school supplies: a 21st-century classroom laboratory.
The schools were the grand-prize winners in the seventh annual Win a Wireless Lab Sweepstakes, sponsored by CDW Government, Inc. (CDW-G) and Discovery Education.
Each winning school will receive 20 wireless tablet or notebook PCs, an interactive whiteboard with student response system, a projector, a printer, document camera, and a $5,000 software grant from Discovery Education. Each 21st-century classroom prize is valued at $45,000.
CDW-G and Discovery Education will be onsite at each school this fall for a local kick-off event and teacher professional development.
