Pip’s Island, an immersive theatrical event, opens November 12 for an 8-week engagement in New York City, at Skylight Modern (537 West 27th Street, between 10th and 11th Avenues).
Pip’s Island aims to close the gap between education and fun. On this island, children interact with a novel world and work to earn the five "sparks": INVESTIGATE, BUILD, ACTIVATE, IMAGINE, and CONNECT.
While in the Pip’s Island experience children take on the roles of explorer, problem solver and scientist. In order to complete their mission they must research important species, ranges and functions of the Island, while also collecting evidence from their surroundings. As they move through the island, children face roadblocks that they must push through using sophisticated problem solving skills.
