Today's Newsletter: SchoolCIO Summit to Discuss Digital Equity Solutions
The T&L crew is heading to Baltimore for the third 2016 SchoolCIO Summit. Over the next two days, we’ll dive into one of the most important conversations facing K-12 schools: digital equity. Many of you face barriers to this goal. Low-income districts face economic challenges, rural schools struggle to connect students across vast distances, and even wealthy districts have to develop creative approaches to infrastructure funding since they often can’t take advantage of e-Rate benefits and outside funding sources. The Fall 2016 SchoolCIO Summit will explore these issues and discuss innovative solutions to these and a myriad of other challenges facing district leaders today. Follow along at #tltechlive , see highlights on our T&L Live social media hub and watch for our follow-up report in November. We’re looking forward to a productive conversation. –Christine Weiser, Executive Editor
