Today's Newsletter: 8 Steps to Improve School Collaboration
We hear a lot about the importance of data, but it’s not always clear how we can connect this mass of digits to real learning outcomes. At the Harvard Graduate School of Education, the Data Wise Project has created a step-by-step process to help schools achieve this goal. These steps include: Organize for Collaborative Work; Build Assessment Literacy; Create Data Overview; Dig into Student Data; Examine Instruction; Develop Action Plan; Plan to Assess Progress; and finally, Act and Assess. Data Wise Director Kathryn Parker Boudett (at left) will dive deeper into these concepts at Tech & Learning Live Boston to give attendees the tools they need to put together their own customized action plan. Find out how to register for this live event here and learn more about the “8 Steps of the Data Wise Improvement Process” here. -- Christine Weiser, Executive Editor
