Classworks®, by Curriculum Advantage, Inc. today announced adoption of OneRosterTM , a secure standard for exchanging student information. This new interoperability standard developed by the IMS Global Learning Consortium simplifies the exchange of class rosters from one system to another. OneRoster will be available in Classworks for the 2016 - 2017 school year.
School districts are challenged with manually uploading rosters into a variety of digital learning resources, with most requiring a manual input or a unique template. The OneRoster open technology standard replaces multiple class roster templates with one common format that works for every program. Classworks’ User Synchronization Service, using IMS Global OneRoster, automatically provisions users, classes and group enrollment information based on the user data in a district’s student information system.
