Pearson Aida Calculus—Next Level Math App
Tech&Learning expands edtech coverage to include daily reporting by industry expert Brian Nadel
Welcome to School Tools. This daily blog is a vital addition to Tech & Learning that will highlight, examine and explain the newest and most important educational technologies. From notebooks, tablets and projectors to apps, online curriculum and Web services, look for School Tools to tell you about the latest in educational technology as well as what works, what doesn’t and what deserves to be in the classroom.
By scouring the Ed Tech landscape, we intend to bring you the most interesting and innovative products for the classroom and presenting them in plain English. Most days you’ll find descriptions of cutting-edge teaching technologies and once a week there will be an in-depth review of a key classroom product. We intend to get personal and be your stand-in for making these key classroom buying decisions. Our goal is to become nothing short of fostering a better classroom experience for teacher and student.
Calling, Calculus Tutor
Getting help to confused calculus students may be no more than a phone away with Pearson’s Aida Calculus app. By mixing traditional math education with a heavy dose of artificial intelligence Aida creates a personalized approach to the material. The app, which works with iPhones and iPads, but not Android phones and tablets, includes helpful videos, offers positive feedback on what students did correctly and helpful tips when students are stumped. It’s free to use until the end of 2019.
