Web Resources for Accountability

Administrators charged with assessing and reporting on student progress can look to these Web sites for help.

  • The Secretary's Conference on Educational Technology 2000: Measuring the Impacts and Shaping the Future (www.ed.gov/Technology/techconf/2000/report.html) This Department of Education site has white papers and presentations addressing issues of accountability, technology, and student learning.

  • North Central Regional Educational Laboratory (www.ncrel.org) This site features lots of great tools, valuable research, and best practicess.

  • Center for Innovative Learning Technologies (www.cilt.org) CILT conducts collaborative research in areas that promise significant advances in learning. Join the Knowledge Network to obtain and exchange information about learning technology research.

  • Concord Consortium (www.concord.org) Here you'll find information about numerous projects, training opportunities, and cutting-edge developments for integrating technology into education.

  • Taking a Good Look at Instructional Technology (www.taglit.org) TAGLIT is a suite of assessment tools designed to help principals and other school leaders gather, analyze, and report information about how technology is used for teaching and learning in their schools.

  • Portical: Technology Information Center for Administrative Leadership (www.portical.org) This portal helps administrators by organizing a wealth of relevant resources and features in one easy-to-use location.
