School Site of the Month

By Susan Brooks Young

The H.B. Ward Technical Center in Riverhead, N.Y., is one of four alternative career education centers serving East End school districts' high school students. The attractive Web site is designed and maintained by students in the Computer Technology program. An interesting feature is the online course catalog, which, in addition to typical course descriptions, includes information about possible advanced educational and job opportunities in that particular field-a nice touch for students planning for future career options.
