School Site of the Month

By Susan Brooks-Young

The site for Brookwood Forest Elementary School in Mountain Brook, Ala., is a great example of how a school's Web site may be used to provide curriculum support to teachers as well as students. The Technology Academy page offers links to online Web design resources and to locally designed lesson plans that are models of technology-infused projects for grades K-6. Links also provide ready access to curriculum standards, a scope and sequence for technology skills, and content-based Internet sites for teachers to use in planning.
