Know some middle or high school students who struggle with their nightly math homework? Chuck Grant has given us the heads-up on his site, Hotmath.com, where free 24/7 help is available for kids' actual assigned work. Students simply choose their math textbook and type in a page number for hints and step-by-step tutorials for all the odd-numbered problems displayed there. Topics covered are Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus. Represented textbooks include Prentice Hall, McDougal Littell/Houghton Mifflin, and all the other major players.
