School Site of the Month

By Susan Brooks-Young

The home page of Herbert Hoover Middle School in Sioux City, Iowa, is well organized and includes descriptions of what you'll find in each linked section. But the feature that makes this site especially interesting is found in the grade-level areas. Students are assigned to cross-disciplinary teams, and team teachers regularly post information about activities and areas of study. Many team sections include photos of classes in action and links to help students complete assignments.

Susan Brooks-Young is an educational consultant and writer.
